Reporter Iomie Stanley ‘would not be surprised’ if Real Madrid made a stunning £150m bid for CHELSEA star Cole Palmer, who has become one of the best attackers in the Premier League over the past couple of seasons.
The highly talented 22-year-old attacking midfielder, has rapidly made a name for himself at Stamford Bridge since his move from Manchester City in 2023 and is the man at the club that Enzo Maresca will really rely on over the next 12 months.
He has recently signed a massive new contract at Chelsea – but Whether he actually stays at the club for a decade remains to be seen and Stanley believes he could emerge as a target for Real Madrid next summer.
‘*CHELSEA* paid £40m for Palmer but if Real Madrid come knocking next summer and he is still at the level he is showing, I would not be surprised if they got an offer of £150m for him.
‘He’s a young man, so we’re going early on this call, but if this is Palmer’s level and he can be consistently this good, he’s going to be a top man. There’s simply nothing to dislike about him. At age his right now, he is already one of the best in the Premier League.
‘He seems to have a really sensible head and he looks to have had a really good football education – which you would expect at the modern Manchester City.
‘Man City must be regretting their decision to allow Palmer to leave, but Chelsea will surely not be his last transfer.’
