Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is unlikely to start another game until the final week of January due to his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he’s not expected to be back in training until the new year and after that, it will still take him time to be ready to start a game after his ankle injury.

It was revealed in November that his return to action will be longer than first expected, with him being ruled out since October.

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Iroegbunam: “Based on Dyche’s comments, they are increasing the load and stress on his foot but it’s a very gradual process.

“*Due to the nature of how stress responses work and how long he’s been out, I wouldn’t expect him back until after the turn of the New Year and not ready to start until the final week of January.*“

Tim Iroegbunam had enjoyed a decent start at Everton

The 21-year-old will be disappointed to be out injured as he had enjoyed a good start to life at Goodison Park since his move from Aston Villa.

He made six league appearances and brought real agility and guile to the Toffees midfield – being a useful option for Sean Dyche.

Hopefully, his return to training is right around the corner and he can contribute to the first team for the rest of the season without any injuries.
