Marcus Rashford in action for United.
Manchester United have dropped a major hint over Marcus Rashford.
Manchester United have picked Marcus Rashford as their January face on their official 2025 calendar. Rashford's United future is uncertain, after he was left out of their matchday squad for the third match in a row on Sunday.
The 27-year-old was not included in the United contingent for the trip to Manchester City earlier this month - and Rashford responded by admitting in a bombshell interview that he's ready for a new challenge. Ruben Amorim has since not picked him for recent matches against Tottenham and AFC Bournemouth.
It appears that Rashford's 19-year stint at United is coming to an end, but the club have decided to use him as the face of their 2025 calendar in January - a month in which player and club are able to strike-up business.
Although Rashford might well be leaving, that hasn't put off United fans from buying the £12 calendar - as it has already sold out online. Matthijs de Ligt (February), Leny Yoro (March), Andre Onana (April), Lisandro Martinez (May), Mason Mount (June), Amad Diallo (July), Joshua Zirkzee (August), Bruno Fernandes (September), Alejandro Garnacho (October), Kobbie Mainoo (November) and Rasmus Hojlund (December) also feature.
Rashford's January addition on the calendar could be the same month in which he leaves United. The England international, who has three-and-a-half years left on his contract, has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona among those that have been tipped to sign him.
Former United captain Gary Neville fears that Rashford has played his final game for the club. "He probably has to leave and the club want him to leave," he said.
Amorim, meanwhile, said ahead of United's trip to Wolves on Boxing Day that Rashford could be involved. "Yeah, it's my decision. He wants to play, he's trying," the new head coach said.
"It's my decision. Only my decision.
"I spoke with a lot of players individually, during training, so I try to do things and I'm doing things my way and is the only way I know. If I don't do that, I will lose myself, and I will not lose myself, I know what I am doing.
"When I feel that is the right moment, I will change something. Until then, I will continue to think what is best for the team. I speak with him every day, not about the interview, about the performance."
