Leicester-linked £8m star wants European move
Reports have suggested that Leicester are on the clubs targeting Valentin Gomez in January.
Gomez is a 21-year-old defender playing for Velez Sarsfield in Argentina and has recently won the league, as well as reach the final of both domestic cup competitions.
Plenty of European clubs are interested in the centre-back’s services however the Premier League is an attractive proposition and Gomez admitted that the next step is a move away from his homeland.

Gomez told TyC Sports: “First I’m going to go on vacation, I think I deserve it. I played a lot of games during the year.
“Then I’ll see what decision I make for my future. The reality is that I’d like to continue growing in European football and see if that’s a possibility, if any club is willing to come and get me.”

Every Argentine to play for Leicester City
If Gomez was to make the move to the East Midlands then he would join a list of talented countrymen who have hailed from Argentina to play for the Foxes.
Currently, Leicester have one among their ranks in Facundo Buonanotte, who is the third Argentine to play for the club.
Esteban Cambiasso and Leonardo Ulloa are both fan favourites, with Ulloa playing huge role in the 2015/16 title-winning season.
