A comparison between the goal tallies racked up by Kylian Mbappé and Cristiano Ronaldo by the same point in their respective Real Madrid careers has on Tuesday been forthcoming.
And it may come as something of a surprise to hear that it is the former who actually enjoyed the more prolific first half-season in Spain’s capital.
Frontman Mbappé, for his part, has of course been the target of heavy criticism across the campaign to date.
As much comes amid what has been something of a hit-and-miss start to life for the France international at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Despite the widespread questioning of his efforts, though, Mbappé has nevertheless managed to find the net on an altogether respectable 14 occasions across all competitions.
And this, it has today been revealed by **[Diario AS](https://as.com/futbol/primera/mbappe-y-la-sombra-de-cristiano-n/)**, is one more than was managed by Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo by the Christmas break in his own debut term in Madrid.
It should be noted, though, that Mbappé has notched twice as many appearances as Ronaldo had at this point in 2009, with the Portuguese having spent several months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
