Arsenal could enjoy a fruitful January transfer window if AI truly knows what it’s talking about.

There's been plenty to like about Arsenal so far this season as Mikel Arteta once again looks to lead the club to a first Premier League title since 2004.

Victories over Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been highlights but the two defeats to Newcastle United and AFC Bournemouth have helped give Liverpool the upper hand in the title race. Enzo Maresca's Chelsea have also emerged as somewhat unlikely challengers as Manchester City suffer a rare setback in form.

The Gunners are certainly still in the title charge with the January transfer window around the corner. The North London club did invest over the summer with Riccardo Calafiori, Mikel Merino and David Raya all coming in for a fee.

However, with Edu having left the club and fierce competition from the Reds and the Blues, there is the chance for more investment next month. The January market is a notoriously hard window to predict given its arrival in the middle of the football season but LondonWorld has asked AI programme ChatGPT to look into what the future may hold for Arsenal.

Arsenal predicted to sign £65m ‘long term investment’ up front

Unsurprisingly, it's the acquisition of a striker that is the programme's first response. Arsenal had been linked with a big money move for Ivan Toney and Victor Osimhem during the summer but those deals did not come to fruition, leaving Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus to lead the line.

Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium and is touted as an option by ChatGPT given he is a 'proven goal scorer' and a 'long term investment' at 24 years old. However, it is predicted that he would cost around £65 million.

Brighton forward Evan Ferguson is mentioned as another option. Several top flight clubs, including Arsenal, had been linked with a summer move but that transfer talk died out. Now, the 20-year-old looks more likely to complete a loan move with West Ham, Fulham and Leicester City interested.

ChatGPT believes the player would be the ideal fit for the high-press Arsenal tactical system under Arteta. The AI programme adds that the Gunners would no doubt prefer to buy the player rather than loan him given his rising value and immediate need for depth in that position - suggesting a lofty £60 million fee given Brighton's 'negotiation power'.

Aston Villa and Newcastle United named as potential options for out-of-favour defender

Elsewhere, Lille forward Jonathan David is recommended by ChatGPT with his contract running out in France, with his price tag therefore 'reasonable'. There is an ambitious link with Jude Bellingham too, but even the AI knows that is a 'highly unlikely' situation.

When it comes to outgoings, ChatGPT could see defender Kieran Tierney seeking a new challenge. The Scotsman made a return from a long injury setback in the cup against Crystal Palace but has become somewhat of a fringe option under Arteta.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and West Ham are named as potential Premier League suitors in the experienced defender, although a £30 million price tag seems somewhat ambitious from ChatGPT. Tierney is outlined as a good option for Aston Villa with the club having the 'financial means' and the player being an 'upgrade for their squad'.
