ANDONI Iraola felt his Bournemouth side’s performance in their 3-0 win against Manchester United this season was ‘more mature’ than the 3-0 win from a year previous.
The [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) beat the Red Devils thanks to goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo on Sunday.
In December of last year, Bournemouth beat United by the same scoreline, thanks to goals from Dominic Solanke, Philip Billing and Marcos Senesi.
Asked what was different in the 2024 performance to the 2023 one, against a United side under Ruben Amorim compared to the Eric Ten Haag team, Iraola said: “I think they have been different games.
“Today's win from our side I think is more mature, more solid.
“Past season, the game was much more open, we had good highlights.
“But today I think we haven't played to a very high rhythm because it's difficult against United, they control the build-up very well.
“But even in situations where we were not where we wanted in the game, I think we've competed really well.”
With the victory at Old Trafford, the Cherries moved up to fifth in the Premier League at Christmas, ahead of their Boxing Day game against Crystal Palace.
