Christmas Day is finally here and it’s a time of celebration for everyone.
While Leicester City are preparing for the Boxing Day fixture against Liverpool, Foxes fans around the world will be opening presents, eating good food and celebrating with family.
For others though, it’s not just Christmas Day they’re celebrating, but also their birthday.
And for one former Leicester star, that was exactly the case.

Former Leicester midfielder with over 300 Premier League appearances was born on Christmas Day
Former Leicester midfielder Gary McAllister is one of the few Premier League stars that was born on Christmas Day.
The Scotland international joined the Foxes in 1985 and scored over 50 goals during his time at Filbert Street, establishing himself as one of the best players in the Second Division of English football.
McAllister also reportedly turned down a £1.5m move to East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest in 1989 after being left unconvinced by Brian Clough.

He was named in the PFA Second Division Team of the Year in back-to-back campaigns (1988-89 and 1989-90) before eventually going on to join Leeds United.
Spells at Liverpool and Coventry City would also follow and McAllister is regarded as one of the best Scottish players to have made the move down from north of the boarder.
In total, there’s been six players who have played in the Premier League that were born on Christmas Day.

Emiliano Buendia of Aston Villa is the only one of the six still currently playing while Rob Edwards and Robbie Elliot have both moved into management.
Chris Kamara tried his hand at management but has since become a face of the broadcasting world and Alexandre Jankewitz is plying his trade over in Switzerland.
McAllister has made more Premier League appearances (325) than any of them too.
