Chelsea are nearly halfway through the 2024/25 Premier League season, and there have been some outstanding individual performances for supporters to enjoy.

Chelsea are exceeding exceptions during their first season under Enzo Maresca’s management. There are not many people who thought they’d be talking about the Blues as potential title challengers at Christmas.

Here is a look at the standout individual displays from Chelsea players so far this campaign. It’s a list of every Blues star that has achieved a FOTMOB rating of 9.0 or above for a league appearance this season.

Enzo Fernandez vs Leicester (23 November) – 9.0

Chelsea weren’t at their fluent best when they won 2-1 away at Leicester City last month, but Enzo Fernandez turned on the style in a memorable performance.

The 23-year-old midfielder assisted the opening goal with a clever pass to Nicolas Jackson. Afterwards, he scored what turned out to be the winner with his header.

Joe Cole claims Leicester couldn’t get near Chelsea’s Fernandez in November’s league clash at the King Power Stadium.

Nicolas Jackson vs West Ham (21 September) – 9.1

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson was the star of the show when his side recorded a 3-0 away victory at London rivals West Ham back in September.

The 23-year-old forward scored twice inside the opening 18 minutes to help set up another three points.

First, Jackson scored his opener with a brilliant finish through the goalkeeper’s legs after driving into the penalty box from deep. His second was another great goal where he was one-on-one with the keeper and guided it past him with the outside of his boot.

Robert Sanchez vs Bournemouth (14 September) – 9.3

The performance of Robert Sanchez away to Bournemouth early in the season was a reminder of how good the goalkeeper can be on his day.

Alan Shearer said Chelsea’s Sanchez was “superb” versus Bournemouth as his clean sheet helped earn three points. The 27-year-old keeper made seven saves, proving that he can be an incredible shot-stopper.

He’s come under-fire at various times this campaign for his distribution with the ball at his feet, but the Bournemouth fixture was on occasion where he led his side to victory.

Cole Palmer vs Tottenham (8 December) – 9.4

Cole Palmer was at the heart of Chelsea’s stunning 4-3 away victory at Tottenham earlier this month.

The 22-year-old attacker scored two penalty kicks in the comeback success, plus he ran riot in between the lines with his dribbling and creativity.

Rio Ferdinand said Palmer tormented Spurs’ Destiny Udogie in the London derby. He’s the latest in a long line of defenders to struggle against the Blues talisman, though.

Noni Madueke vs Wolves (25 August) 9.6

Chelsea’s 6-2 demolition of Wolverhampton Wanderers was memorable for so many reasons.

Noni Madueke scored a quick-fire hat-trick in the second half at Molineux Stadium in emphatic fashion.

The 22-year-old right-winger netted a trademark left-footed goal after cutting inside, plus he scored two more shortly after on his weaker right foot.

Cole Palmer vs Wolves (25 August) 9.7

Palmer put on a show of his own during Chelsea’s 6-2 demolition away to Wolves.

First, he scored a beautifully chipped goal that he lobbed over the keeper. Afterwards, he then provided a hat-trick of assists for Madueke’s goals.

Glenn Hoddle says Chelsea’s Palmer was “different class” versus Wolves as he showed the early signs that he’d do well this year under Maresca.

Cole Palmer vs Brighton (28 September) – 9.9

It’s no surprise that Chelsea talisman Palmer has the highest-rated league performance at the club so far this season. Remarkably, he managed a near-faultless 9.9 match rating when the Blues won 4-2 at home to Brighton earlier in the year.

Palmer netted all four goals in Chelsea’s success over Brighton. In fact, they were all scored in a chaotic first half of football.

He scored two calm left-footed finishes from open play, plus he converted a free-kick and a penalty.

There have already been so many exceptional individual performances from Palmer at Chelsea since he joined in the summer of 2023, but his display at Brighton may sit top of the tree for its drama and brilliance.
