Latest Man United injury news for Wolves ahead of key Marcus Rashford selection decision

Ruben Amorim and Marcus Rashford

It remains unclear whether Rashford will be named in the Man United squad for Wolves

Manchester United will face relegation-battlers Wolves on Boxing Day - and there's question marks over whether Marcus Rashford will be named in the squad.

Rashford was initially dropped from the Manchester Derby with Ruben Amorim explaining it was a selection-based decision. After the win over City, Rashford admitted in an interview he was ready for a new challenge away from the club.

The 27-year-old was also absent during the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth but was spotted at Old Trafford. Speaking ahead of the Boxing Day match, Amorim left Rashford a message about what he would like to see from him.

He said: "Like any other player, the best that they can be. If you have big talent, big performance, big responsibility, big engagement, like push forward everybody. In this moment some guys have a big responsibility here because they are here for a long time. So, this is maybe one of the lowest moments in our club so we have to face it and be strong in this moment - that’s what I want from every player in the team."

As for matters off the pitch, Amorim is still dealing with some injuries ahead of the trip to the West Midlands.

Here, MEN Sport has taken a look at the latest injury news.

Marcus Rashford

What Amorim has said: "It is a hard situation. I understand that these players have a lot of people around them, making choices that are not the first idea from the player. I am always here to help Marcus as another player. I have to do what I have to do.

"They chose to do the interview, as it is not just Marcus. I understand that. As a coach, I focus on performance and the way you train. The rest, it is better for me and the club to deal with that when the time comes. At the moment, I focus on improving Marcus and we need a talented guy like Marcus. I forget the interview now and see what I see on the pitch."
