In the last few years, FC Barcelona have been able to strengthen their team despite their financial problems by taking advantage of some free agent opportunities arising in the market.
Important players like İlkay Gündoğan, Andreas Christensen, Iñigo Martínez, and Franck Kessié all joined the Catalan club without any transfer fee.
Although there were no such free-agent signings for Barcelona in the last summer transfer window, the Blaugranes are already being linked with several players whose contracts are running out at the end of this season and who can arrive at the Catalan club for free next summer.
[Mundo Deportivo](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20241225/1002376654/futuros-agentes-libres-radar-barca.html) has provided a brief overview of six such players:
**1: Jonathan Tah**
The German center-back’s agent has already made it clear that his client will be joining a new club for the next season. [Barcelona have been one of the clubs linked with him](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/two-players-to-make-way-as-barcelona-chase-jonathan-tah/), and Deco had already traveled to Germany around a month ago to meet him and his agent, Pini Zahavi, and the meeting reportedly ended on a good note.
**2: Alphonso Davies**
The Canadian fullback has still not arrived at a renewal agreement with Bayern Munich and although they are still negotiating, the player still has several offers on the table and thus can leave the Bavarians for free this summer. Barcelona have been linked with him as they are looking to reinforce their flanks, and there is no doubt a player of his quality will enhance Hansi Flick’s squad.
**3: Jonathan David**
Alphonso Davies’ compatriot is proving himself to be one of the leading scorers in Europe, having scored 17 goals in 26 games with Lille, but there is a strong possibility of him leaving for free this summer. The Blaugranes have him in their sights as they continue to look for a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.
**4: Joshua Kimmich**
The German midfielder has been linked with Barcelona for more than a year now, even though Marc Casado’s emergence has significantly diluted the Blaugranes’ interest in him. His contractual situation with Bayern Munich is still subject to speculation, and Flick would also want to have such an experienced and versatile option in his squad.
**5: Mohamed Salah**
The Liverpool star has not yet received a renewal offer from his club and he could be the biggest name available for free next summer. However, his candidacy for the Catalan club is somewhat doubtful as his arrival can disrupt Lamine Yamal’s development and role in the team.
**6: Thomas Partey**
Even though he is once again one of the most important players in the Arsenal squad, he has not yet made any progress to extend his stay with the Gunners. Barcelona have been linked with him, and his arrival can bring a more physical profile to their midfield.
