Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta confirmed Bukayo Saka will be sidelined for 'many weeks' after sustaining a hamstring injury in the win over Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.
After the game, Arteta expressed his concern, admitting he was 'pretty worried' about the situation. Saka was spotted leaving Selhurst Park on crutches after receiving treatment on the pitch.
Speaking in his press conference ahead of facing Ipswich Town on Friday (8:15pm kick-off), Arteta confirmed the worst, stating: "It's not looking good he's going to be out for many weeks," he said. "My intention right now is to get the best of what we have."
Arteta revealed he is putting some ideas together for Saka's absence. "I haven’t got there yet but I have a few [ideas]," he added. "I want to speak with them as well and take it in a positive way. It means we’re going to be different. We went through the period with Martin and the period with five, six defenders missing. We’re looking at it with positive energy."
