At a club like FC Barcelona, it is integral for players and coaches to be appealing to fans and the wider audiences. After all, the sport is a massively commercial one and that is what keeps the revenue coming in. However, at a club like Barcelona, fans and members are perhaps even more particular about things.
Recently, as they tend to do traditionally, Mundo Deportivo polled 300 club members during the previous La Liga games against Leganes and Atletico Madrid to find out their opinions on various players from the club this season midway through the campaign. This allows MD to get a better idea of the current standings of various players from the perspective of the members.
However, as highlighted by [MD](https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc-barcelona/20241225/1002376692/casado-mejor-refuerzo-temporada.html) itself, there was a rather peculiar finding. Marc Casadó, aged 21, may be having his breakout season for the club but he has already managed to win the hearts of members all over. Even backed up by various different votes, his importance to Barcelona is simply invaluable in the eyes of said members.
Firstly, he was by far and away the highest-rated player out of the three summer ‘signings’ for the first team. Whereas the likes of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor were rated 6.94 and 6.13 respectively, Casadó was given a much higher rating of 8.56, which highlights the kind of impressive season he is having.
Furthermore, in the voting to see who the best player for Barcelona had been this season so far, Casadó managed to rank third. With 17.3% of the votes in his favor, it is clear to see that people connected to the club seem to think of him quite highly if it has allowed him to have a podium finish.
Ahead of him, only Raphinha (36.6%) and Lamine Yamal (27.6%) managed to finish higher in that particular voting. After all, the Brazilian winger is having arguably the best season of his career so far whereas the young winger has already announced himself to the world and keeps going from strength to strength despite his [recent injury](https://barcanewsnetwork.com/key-barcelona-winger-set-to-miss-3-4-weeks-of-action-with-latest-ankle-injury/).
While the final results of the entire poll will be released on the 27th of December, this piece of information that has come out is still quite interesting. After all, it showcases the voting results of some key categories that would still intrigue most people.
As for Casadó, his role and growth this season has been remarkable. Out of the 25 games played by the club this season, he has played in 22 of them and started in 20 of those. Beyond just the five assists he has delivered, his contributions to the team have managed to earn him a guaranteed spot in Hansi Flick’s team that even manages to keep out the likes of Frenkie de Jong and Gavi as regular starters.
