Manchester City will bounce back against Everton in the Premier League on Boxing Day, Alex Crook says.
The talkSPORT journalist has predicted a win for Pep Guardiola’s team on 26 December at the Etihad Stadium.
Sean Dyche’s team managed to hold off Arsenal and Chelsea in their previous two fixtures, but the Sky Blues have been tipped to take advantage of the Toffees tactics and get a victory.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Premier League All Access [24 December], Crook said: “We’ve seen it from them in their last two games. I was at the Emirates. It wasn’t pretty. They didn’t show any attacking intent. But they got a 0-0 out of that game and obviously repeated it against Chelsea.
“So, you know what you’re going to get from this Sean Dyche team. They’re going to make it very difficult to play against; try and hit City on the counter.

“It might just play into City’s hands, actually, because you score one goal, and they probably aren’t coming back. Do I think City will bounce back? Yes. Confident? No.”
Everton need to continue strong run against poor Manchester City
Many expected the Blues to falter during a tricky period in December with Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and the Manchester City games scheduled back-to-back.
The Toffees have performed exceptionally well during this period, and despite the postponement of the Merseyside derby, they have gotten points off of Mikel Arteta and Enzo Maresca’s team.
Dyche’s team are 15th in the English top flight, four points ahead of the relegation zone with a game in hand.
City will be another massive test for Everton, but it’s one the Goodison faithful will be confident going into, considering the poor run of form Guardiola’s team have been in.

The Sky Blues have won just one of their last eight matches in the Premier League and look fragile at the back.
Erling Haaland has been a goalscoring threat in England over the years but has struggled recently with the Cityzens misfiring.
Dyche has the perfect game plan to frustrate the best of teams, and the Toffees will surely be at their resolute best once again at the Etihad.
