West Ham have been heavily linked with a move for Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath ahead of the January window.
West Ham already needed to sign a new forward in the January transfer window.
That was before Michail Antonio’s car crash made it a necessity.
Especially with unhappy Niclas Fullkrug looking set for an early exit from the London Stadium.
West Ham confirmed interest in Middlesbrough striker Emmanuel Latte Lath exclusively to Hammers News recently.
The problem is the Hammers hierarchy didn’t believe Middlesbrough would sell while they are vying for promotion to the Premier League.
Journalist Graeme Bailey, who has strong contacts at ‘Boro, told Hammers News that a deal for West Ham to sign Lath is there to be done.
The reporter stated that influential agent Will Salthouse, who is close with West Ham majority owner David Sullivan and his sons, is trying to do the deal.

West Ham confirmed interest in Lath
“Will Salthouse is trying to do Lath (to West Ham) – every player has his price,” Bailey told Hammers News.
“Middlesbrough would take £25m for him – they have Conway, who is better really but if they did it early enough they could do it.”
With that in mind, tongues were set wagging when Lath’s agent let everyone know he was at West Ham on several occasions recently.
Veneroso Matthias’ Instagram account is set to private. But a Middlesbrough account accessed it and shared it on X.
“Emmanuel Latte Lath’s agent appears to have been at West Ham’s training ground over the last few days,” the Boro account states.
Hammers supporters were understandably buzzing at the thought of Lath being on his way.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation since joining Middlesbrough from Atalanta with 27 goals in 59 games so far.
Lath has nine goals in 22 games this season. But it is his old round game, pace and power which make him such at threat.
The striker is not the only Middlesbrough man the Hammers are reportedly eyeing with the club also keen on their manager and Academy of Football graduate Michael Carrick.
But here is the truth behind the exciting West Ham post by the agent of Middlesbrough star Lath.

Truth on exciting West Ham post by Middlesbrough star’s agent
What the Middlesbrough fans may not realise is that the agent is actually as West Ham’s Academy training complex.
That is completely separate from West Ham’s first team training ground Rush Green, which is two and a half miles away.
Hammers News understands Matthias was there with a view to the firm he works for – MP Management – potentially representing emerging West Ham talents.
Lath would be a superb addition for West Ham.
But if his agent was holding talks with the Hammers over a January move, it’s highly unlikely he would do it at the club’s Academy base.
Some have suggested talks may have been held there to avoid prying eyes and press leaks at the first team training ground.
If that was the case then why would the agent post images showing where he was on social media?
Bailey believes Lath definitely has his price.
Whether West Ham will meet that valuation remains to be seen.
West Ham’s owners revealed the situation for the January window in a Hammers News exclusive yesterday.
The Hammers are on the hunt for a new forward but need to sell players or bring in new investment as they are at their limit regarding FFP and PSR.
Fullkrug is being heavily linked with a move to Juventus so that could help pay for Lath.
West Ham fans don’t have too long to wait to find out.
Interestingly Sullivan was pictured with Salthouse at the London Stadium at the weekend.
