Trent-Alexander Arnold is Real Madrid’s top-priority right-back reinforcement for the upcoming ummer transfer window and it is his contractual situation that tempts Los Blancos the most.
While he is undoubtedly a talented player who is one of the best in the world in his position, the fact that he will be a free agent in June makes Real Madrid seriously interested in his pursuit.
Unsurprisingly, however, the youngster is under severe pressure to renew his deal with Liverpool and not leave on a free transfer.
Words from a legend
Now, as relayed by AS, the English legend Jamie Redknapp has come out to share his words of advice to Alexander-Arnold and has surprisingly spoken in favor of the player moving to Madrid.
“Alexander-Arnold is a young player who has given everything for the club. He has won the Champions League, he has won the Premier League, he has won all the trophies.”
“If he wants he can go and try a different culture, do something different, go and play,” he added.

Weighing out the different destination options Alexander-Arnold had, he said,
“If you want to go to Manchester United or Manchester City, of course, for me that can’t be done. Liverpool is my club, I was there for 11 years.”
“But if I were in that locker room, I would turn around and say: ‘I would love for you to sign’, but you know what, good luck, because if there is a chance to go to Real Madrid, how can you reject it? He should take a risk and sign for Madrid,” he concluded.
Alexander-Arnold is yet to make a decision on his future with Liverpool pushing to convince him to renew while Real Madrid await his signing on a Bosman deal.
