Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester United offered 17 G/A striker, parent club want exchange deal

Intermediaries have reportedly offered Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester United the opportunity to sign 25-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester United will have the opportunity to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli. Meanwhile, the Serie A giants are open to an exchange arrangement to sweeten the deal, with Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford, and Rasmus Hojlund among the Manchester United attackers they fancy.

Victor Osimhen and his eventful year

Victor Osimhen has resurrected his fortunes since joining Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal from Napoli in the summer transfer window. The African attacker’s relations with the Partenopei had soured in the early days of the 2024/25 season, and the two parties were eager to go their separate ways.

While a permanent deal did not see the light of day, joining Galatasaray has been a godsend for the 25-year-old thus far this term. Osimhen has contributed to 17 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions by finding the back of the net 12 times and providing five assists. Meanwhile, many high-profile clubs will have the opportunity to sign the player, with intermediaries offering him to Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Manchester United.

Premier League adventure on the horizon?

The Nigerian international has been on Arsenal’s radar for a long time, although they recently ruled out a move for him. However, the North London outfit can do with a player like Osimhen, considering they are scouring the market for a striker.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa can also do with a player like Victor Osimhen. While Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran are two world-class strikers, the latter is a target for several European bigwigs, including Arsenal. So, Aston Villa should scour the market for a striker, with Osimhen an option worth considering.

As for Manchester United, Osimhen has been on the Premier League club’s radar for a while. The Red Devils are keen on signing a striker as a top-notch alternative to Rasmus Hojlund. So, the Nigerian international is a viable target for Manchester United. Meanwhile, Napoli will look to execute a swap arrangement to sweeten the deal.

The Serie A giants have three Manchester United attackers in mind for a swap deal, with Marcus Rashford, Joshua Zirkzee, and Rasmus Hojlund on their wishlist. However, it is unclear if the Red Devils will agree to an exchange arrangement.
