Player could return to Leicester City – Club make ‘clear’ request for move

Cesare Casadei spent one half of last season on loan at Leicester City.

During that period, the midfielder played 25 times in all competitions for the Foxes, scoring three goals. While he was playing often under Enzo Maresca at Leicester City, that hasn’t quite been the case for the 21-year-old under his compatriot at Chelsea.

He is yet to play even once in the Premier League this season and the likes of Monza and Lazio are seen as candidates to sign him.

Now the possibility of a return to Leicester City has been reported on. Sportmediaset state that there have been approaches from Lazio, Monza and even Bologna… but Chelsea’s asking price is too high.

They want a fee of €36m to sell the Italian and are not accepting a loan exit at all. That asking price has scared away potential suitors from Italy and that is why the Foxes could enter the scene again.

A permanent move is stated as a possibility and it remains to be seen how the situation evolves.
