Ever-reliable transfer guru David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal have previously “considered” a move for Randal Kolo Muani, as rumours reignite over a potential loan move for the striker in the January transfer window.
Rumours linking Arsenal with a transfer for a new striker have become an ever-present around the club for the last couple of years, due to goal-scoring woes in the team.
Although Gabriel Jesus looks to be experiencing his best run of form in recent times, with five goals in his last two games, both of which were against Crystal Palace – in the Carabao Cup and Premier League respectively – many Arsenal fans believe that the Gunners still need a new striker.

Arsenal have previously been linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Kolo Muani, and these rumours have seemingly reignited with the French striker set to leave the Parisien club in the January transfer window.
Speaking on the 26-year-old, David Ornstein confirmed: “In the case of Arsenal. They have considered him among their longlist in the past. I don’t know of any pursuit on this occasion, but you never know.

“January is largely a reactive market, and if a low-cost loan for six months arises and a club such as Arsenal feel they have the space and the need then let’s have a conversation about this. That hasn’t happened with Arsenal to my knowledge, but I do think he [Randal Kolo Muani] stands a very good chance of moving,” via The Athletic.
Kolo Muani has endured a so far turbulent start to the 2024/25 season, with just two goals and one assist to show for his 14 assists in all competitions – with all of his goal involvements coming in Ligue 1.
Arsenal are also thought to be interested in Alexander Isak, Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres among other targets, although a short-term loan deal, like Kolo Muani, could prove the more appealing option in the January transfer window.
