Arsenal host Ipswich Town at the Emirates Stadium on Friday and have received a huge injury boost ahead of the fixture. The Gunners are on the chase in the Premier League title race with league leaders Liverpool currently sat six points ahead with a game in hand.

The Gunners can’t afford to drop anymore points over the next few weeks and Mikel Arteta will need every player possible to play their part with the injury list mounting up over Christmas.

Arsenal suffered a huge injury blow at Selhurst Park last time out as Bukayo Saka picked up a hamstring injury which has ruled him out for around two months. The winger joins Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Raheem Sterling on the sidelines.

The Gunners trained on Christmas Eve where Oleksandr Zinchenko was spotted back in the gym amongst his teammates. The Ukrainian has been suffering with constant calf issues for the majority of this season.

Mikel Arteta will welcome the return of Zinchenko, which comes as a rare boost for Arsenal this season following the recent injury problems the Spaniard has had to deal with.

Martin Odegaard, Riccardo Calafiori, Declan Rice and Gabriel have all missed key fixtures for the Gunners this season, with Bukayo Saka next in line.

Arsenal have four big fixtures over the next two weeks, which includes a Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle and Mikel Arteta will need his full squad available to get through this period unscathed.
