Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey may not be at full fitness until February, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims the 23-year-old appears to be out with a potential Grade 3 injury and then he had a setback that’s kept him out longer than first expected.

Ramsey last featured for Villa on 9 November when they lost 2-0 against Liverpool in the Premier League.

Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “We know it’s a hamstring injury but we don’t know the severity.

“Based on the timeline of over six weeks now, this is potentially a Grade 3 injury that had a setback which has kept him out longer.

“*It sounds like he is still a couple of weeks away so this will be a process to get him to full fitness and that may take over a month after he’s back.*“

Aston Villa ace Jacob Ramsey faced injury issues last season as well

In the 2023/24 campaign, Ramsey could only feature in 16 Premier League games and around the halfway mark this time, he’s played 10 matches.

Unai Emery and the Villa staff will certainly be looking to keep him fitter than he’s been as at 23, he should not be having issues every season.
