Manchester United have now lost three of the last four Premier League outings but Boxing Day could bring better fortunes.
When Ruben Amorim arrived at the club, he warned supporters that it would not be a smooth transition and accepted that struggles were ahead.
We are firmly in this period of struggles and yet the performances Manchester United are putting in do not warrant the struggles being suffered by Amorim.
Set pieces and individual errors have been the order of the past few weeks and United will be desperate to right the wrongs which saw a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Bournemouth on Sunday.
Amorim said that the players were affected by nervousness within Old Trafford. But on Thursday, a trip to Molineux must result in three points.

Manchester United must go strong vs Wolves
So after losses to Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Arsenal in recent weeks, United must beat Wolves.
MORE UNITED STORIES
In order to do so, we expect Amorim to name as strong an XI as he can, with some poor performers surely in line to be dropped.
Here’s our predicted line-up for 2024’s Boxing Day outing.
Andre Onana
Earlier this month, Onana was listed among United’s unsellable players but has since been in horrendous form. The Cameroonian will have to improve here.
Leny Yoro
The 19-year-old has only made a handful of appearances for United but looks very promising to date as Jaap Stam has admitted about Yoro.
Harry Maguire
Maguire has proven himself to be important already for Amorim and despite struggling a little at the weekend we expect him to start at the Molineux.
Matthijs de Ligt
De Ligt has missed to past two games but Amorim will be desperate to see him return. It could however be in a new role on the left, with Lisandro Martinez deserving to be dropped amid poor form.
Noussair Mazraoui
Mazraoui has been a consistent 7/10 performer this season, but he was at his worst against Bournemouth, giving away a silly penalty. We still anticipate he will start here though.
Manuel Ugarte
After a slow start at United, Ugarte has been excellent in recent weeks, almost finding himself now as an undroppable player for Amorim.
Casemiro
After conceding seven goals in two games, Amorim may opt to partner Ugarte with Casemiro, a slightly more defensive option in midfield.
Diogo Dalot
Dalot remains in poor form, but with Tyrell Malacia not much better we are opting for the Portuguese international here. A new left wing-back must be priority number one in January.
Amad Diallo
Amad was poor by his own recent standards on Sunday, but still has to start on Thursday as he is unparalleled within the team.
Bruno Fernandes
Captain Fantastic was not so fantastic against Bournemouth. But there is little chance Bruno gets dropped right now, so he starts in the No.10 spot.
Rasmus Hojlund
Up top, Hojlund changed the game to a degree against Bournemouth but it was too far gone by then. That being said he has earned a start here as he looks to add to his increasingly impressive tally.
