Bayer Leverkusen express interest in£38.8m Chelsea defender

Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi is considering a possible West Londoners exit, and he could call curtains to his career at Stamford Bridge as early as January with German champions Bayer Leverkusen joining the race for his signature.

Disasi moved to Chelsea in a highly anticipated deal from AS Monaco in the 2023 summer transfer window, a deal worth £38.8m, and featured donning the Blues badge regularly under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the Frenchman hasn’t enjoyed similar game time under the new head coach, and he could be looking for a way out in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals.

Disasi just started his third game of the season in the English top tier against Everton last weekend. He has enjoyed more game time in the Europa Conference League; however, with Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile injured, the 26-year-old has had more game time coming his way.

Chelsea star Axel Disasi has been linked with West London exit as early as January.

Italian giants Juventus expressed interest in landing the centre-back, albeit the pursuit of his signatures won’t be an easy feat now given Bayer Leverkusen joining the race for his signatures, per [highly reliable journalist Sacha Tavolieri](https://x.com/Bluecoxtra/status/1871237969383964900).

Leverkusen are looking at the centre back as a possible replacement for Jonathan Tah, with the German giants being linked with a move away from the Bundesliga side.

January exit depends on multiple factors for Disasi: whether Chelsea receives a reasonable offer, how desperate the 26-year-old is to bid adieu to his current employers, and if the Blues do sign any other player in his position.

We will see how this pans out, but on paper a potential summer exit looks more likely than a winter one.
