Nottingham Forest’s Nigerian defender Ola Aina has said “it is good to dream” about the possibility of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

Forest have been the surprise package of the Premier League this season, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s team placed fourth on the log – the final guaranteed place which would secure a berth in next season’s Champions League.

Aina has played an important role for Forest, with the Super Eagles player revelling in his team’s achievements thus far in 2024-25.

“You don’t know [if the team can finish in the top four], but it’s really good work what we’re doing. We are just focusing on ourselves and taking it game by game,” Aina told the BBC, as quoted by Pulse Sports.

“But it is good to dream a little bit. As long as we work hard and just keep our heads and not get too carried away, I’m sure things will be fantastic come May.”

Aina, who scored in Forest’s 2-0 win against Brentford last weekend, will look to star again when his side face host Tottenham Hotspur later today (Thursday 26 December).
