Championship average attendance figures: Leeds rank high

So far this season, Leeds have averaged 36,216 for home games, which puts them second in the division behind Sunderland, who have brought in 39,927 per home match – according to Transfermarkt.

Third and fourth in the list are two sides new to the division this term, third being Derby County up from League One, and Sheffield United in fourth, down from the Premier League.

Fellow relegated side Burnley are much lower with an average 19,639 – 14th in the league – while Luton Town are 23rd:
