Johan Lange is yet to win over all Tottenham fans
Based on the sentiment of Tottenham fans on social media, it appears that not everyone is convinced about Johan Lange, who has been at his job for over a year.
In terms of their recruitment, Spurs have had some hits and some misses during the time, while the jury is still out on many of his signings, including the likes of Radu Dragusin, Lucas Bergvall, and Wilson Odobert.
There has been much said and written about Tottenham’s data-led approach to recruitment, which the 45-year-old is spearheading, and only time will tell if it is an inspired move or another poor decision.

What people at Aston Villa think of Johan Lange
The Daily Mail have now revealed that Lange has an excellent reputation at his former club, Villa, with many of the signings he recommended now proving to be hits at the club.
It is revealed that the Dane was only let go since manager Unai Emery wanted to was allowed to hire his own sporting director, his compatriot Monchi.
One source who works at Villa Park says about Lange: “He is one of the best. He isn’t some sad moneyball lab technician. He is the whole package.

Not everyone at Tottenham is convinced by Lange
However, the report does mention that some at Tottenham do not entirely agree that Lange is the whole package. Some staff at the club reportedly do not like the fact that they are constantly bombarded with players’ running stats.
A source at Spurs said about their technical director’s approach: “Buying young players is fine ‘but young doesn’t help you here and now, does it?”
