What could stop this day from becoming a total disaster, looking at it all with blue eyes, has a lot to do with Liverpool possibly resting players, as a great number of them are close to suspensions. Despite excelling at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Dominik Szoboszlai might be axed from the first XI too – he is one of a handful of players one yellow card away from incurring a one-match suspension, a list that also includes Cody Gakpo, Ryan Gravenberch and Darwin Nunez.
Jannik Vestergaard and Jamie Vardy are two players seen as key elements in the Leicester eleven, both of them could be absent from the starting line-up today. Vestergaard giving space to Wout Faes, but also a chance that Ruud van Nistelrooy will hopefully look at good relational records between the Dane and the Belgian, and possibly and hopefully looking at Enzo Maresca and how he lined up. Vardy could be out and rested, possibly giving Patson Daka his first start of the season.
The key for Leicester at this point is to build some momentum, not seen under any of the two managers coming in after Enzo, who in real cemented a few ideas and fundementals into his Leicester team, as we had a good central line in place. You need to know your best line-up, if not, you will be in great trouble.
Starting players not really in a place that will see them getting anything positive out of their performances is a doomed act. You can also play players out of position and just ruin their self confidence.
We are certainly not dreaming about anything, than getting these very difficult match minutes gone with a result as positive as possible, with not hope of anything than a defeat, but hopefully not letting in too many goals.

Liverpool’s home kit for 2024-25 officially dropped on May 2, 2024, with the Reds’ official social media pages teasing a release on channels such as X and Instagram the day before. The kit sees the return of a yellow pinstripe design – last used by New Balance in 2019-20 – which famously harks back to the club’s 1984 European Cup triumph in Rome. The design itself contains a nod to Liverpool’s motto, YNWA – You’ll Never Walk Alone.
