The starting lineups are in ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Everton

Manchester City and Everton have confirmed their starting lineups for today’s Premier League fixture at the Etihad Stadium. It is another crucial game for Pep Guardiola’s side as they look to arrest their recent slide. They head into today’s game off the back of one win in their past twelve games. Nine of those games have been losses for Manchester City. Everton appear to have turned a corner recently and will fancy their chances of taking all three points today.

Rodri, Ruben Dias and Oscar Bobb will all miss today’s match due to injury. Ruben Dias is the closest of the trio to returning but his comeback remains a few weeks away. John Stones is also in our of today’s match. Ederson and Matheus Nunes were also in doubt for today’s game as per Pep Guardiola’s update on Christmas Eve.

Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake both trained yesterday ahead of today’s match against Everton. That would seem to indicate that the pair could be available to start against Sean Dyche’s side.

Pep Guardiola has made three changes to the starting lineup that went down to Aston Villa last Saturday. In comes Nathan Ake, Jeremy Doku and Savinho. Out goes John Stones, Jack Grealish and Ilkay Gundogan.

John Stones, Ederson and Matheus Nunes are all out of today’s match due to injury. Kyle Walker is also not in Manchester City’s squad for today’s match. Jack Grealish is also out of today’s match as the Manchester City squad has a youthful look to it.
