Pep Guardiola speaking on Amazon Prime Video
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants January reinforcements
Pep Guardiola says he's working hard to solve Manchester City's slump - but he reckons they must enter the transfer market next week in a bid to get their season back on track.
The champions have dropped to SEVENTH in the Premier League table after winning just one of their last eight league matches to all but put them out of the title picture.
Guardiola stressed on the eve of City's meeting with Everton that they could struggle to even make the top four - and he's now made it clear that he wants reinforcements once the transfer window reopens.
"If we can we have to add players, definitely," he told Amazon Prime Video when he was asked if City's current injury situation had changed their plans.

When he was pressed on positions, he added: "We struggle especially at the back, in the middle. I don't know if it's going to happen. I think we have to but I don't know if it's going to happen. The transfer window in winter is not easy."
City's struggles have raised question marks over Guardiola's future even though the Catalan coach recently penned a new two-year contract extension.
He stressed that he was still enjoying life at the club despite recent results when he was asked where he found joy in difficult moments.

Guardiola said: "I like to be here. I love the club, the hierarchy, the people, the life in Manchester and many other things. Now more than ever. We have a lot of problems but let's turn it around. That's the target.
"When we won in the past, we had most of the squad. But now we have eight important players out. We cannot get out of this roll now. Football isn't predictable, so maybe when you think it's going to be difficult, you can win. Let's see.
"When you are winning, you think more and more on how to keep the run going. When it's not, we need to think more about what you have to do. We need to find a way. Results do help. We have played games where we were on the edge of winning, but lost. It makes it a little more difficult."
