Adani expresses concern over Juventus under Thiago Motta

Former Inter and Fiorentina defender Lele Adani, now a respected TV pundit and co-host of the popular “[**Viva el Futbol**](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/juventus-adani-preoccupato-sto-con-thiago-motta-e-le-sue-elabora-61153)” format, has shared his thoughts on Juventus’ current situation and Thiago Motta’s tactical approach. While Adani has long been a supporter of Motta’s ideas, he now sees the implementation as incomplete and potentially problematic.

Adani pointed out a recurring issue in Juventus’ play: “The thing Thiago repeats most is ‘we need to improve, starting with me.’ There’s an error happening where you watch everyone in a zone near the small area, and maybe someone scores against you one-on-four because you don’t go to mark them. I didn’t know about these things, but in the last month, Juve has been showing them to us.”

Reflecting on Juventus’ recent victory, Adani noted: “It seems to me Juve scored from two set pieces, two balls that fell in the area where Monza inexplicably marked in reverse. It’s something you don’t see at these levels honestly, Juve won because of those two plays.”

While Adani maintains his support for Motta’s tactical philosophy, he expresses concern about its current execution: “I repeat, I’m in favor of this preparation, these rotations, and I always find Thiago Motta’s game elaboration evolved, but if beyond that you remain insecure and indecisive, I take to heart what he says most, which is ‘we need to improve.'”
