Tottenham team confirmed vs Nottingham Forest as Bentancur and Udogie return

Ange Postecoglou has made three changes to his Tottenham side to face Nottingham Forest in the Boxing Day Premier League clash at the City Ground.

Postecoglou finally has a couple of fresh players to call upon in the shape of both midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur and left-back Destiny Udogie. The Spurs boss has decided to give Djed Spence his fourth consecutive start, and a place again the side he spent a great loan season with, which means a rest for Pedro Porro, who has played more minutes than any Tottenham player this campaign.

With Bentancur back from his seven-game suspension, Yves Bissouma steps down to the bench and Brennan Johnson returns against his old club, after last season's return to Nottingham ended with a nasty head injury for the Wales international. Spurs vice-captain James Maddison gets a rest on the bench amid this busy run of fixtures.

Here's the Tottenham team that we reckon Postecoglou will select to face Nuno Espirito Santo's Forest side: Forster; Spence, Dragusin, Gray, Udogie; Sarr, Bentancur, Kulusevski; Johnson, Solanke, Son. Subs: Austin, Reguilon, Porro, Bissouma, Maddison, Bergvall, Olusesi, Werner, Lankshear.
