The team sheets are in at St James’ Park where Newcastle United take on Aston Villa in todays Boxing Day clash on Tyneside.
Here’s how both sides line up:
NUFC XI: Dubravka; Trippier, Schar, Burn, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Murphy, Isak, Gordon.
Subs: Vlachodimos, Barnes, Willock, Osula, Kelly, Targett, Almiron, Miley, Longstaff.
VILLA XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Pau, Digne, Onana, Kamara, Tielemans, McGinn, Rogers, Duran.
Subs: Olsen, Mings, Nedeljkovic, Carlos, Barkley, Buendia, Bailey, Philogene, Watkins.
As expected, Joelinton returns to the side now he’s back from a one-game ban, replacing Joe Willock.
There is one surprise, however, as Kieran Trippier comes in for Tino Livramento, who misses out entirely through illness.
For Villa, Ollie Watkins is on the bench again, with Emery opting for the same side that beat Man City 2-1 last weekend.
A big game and tough test, but win and we’ll be above Villa and heading to Old Trafford on Monday absolutely flying.
Howay the lads!
