Two-word review of Jack Harrison does not bode well for Leeds United sale – View

Jack Harrison is having a simply torrid time of it during his second loan spell away from Leeds United at Everton, and the Toffees faithful have had enough.

When Leeds failed to get promoted back in May at Wembley, there was a frustrating side effect to remaining in the Championship, that being loan clauses still present in a couple of contracts.

One of those was Jack Harrison, opting to return to Everton after an initial stint there in the 23/24 season under Sean Dyche.

How is Harrison getting on at Everton? Fan account review emerges

Harrison’s time at Goodison Park in this second season isn’t going how he’d have hoped, actually seeing his stock plummet with every performance.

Popularity amongst the Toffees fanbase is wearing worryingly thin, not helped by a golden opportunity to open the scoring against Chelsea in the second half.

Everton Blue Army posted this still image on X, as Harrison failed to convert from close rnage with only Robert Sanchez to beat:

It means that Harrison has now played, at the time of writing, 17 times in all competitions this season and is yet to get off the mark with a goal or assist.

Harrison sale to Everton looking bleak for Leeds amid constant poor form

The frustration for Leeds right now is that they are hoping Harrison finds good enough form to justify a club, possibly Everton, paying the money to take him permanently.

At the moment, if it were up to the Everton fans, there’s no chance at all that he’d be staying on Merseyside beyond this second loan spell.

The issue this presents to the 49ers is that they have a depreciating stock that no Premier League club is going to be that keen on taking a plunge with.

Where he goes from here is hard to say, because there’s a few reasons why he wouldn’t be welcome back at Elland Road: the main one being the manner of his exit, and the other being that he’d likely be fifth choice winger at Leeds right now, sixth if you counted Brenden Aaronson in that.

There’s a large element of schadenfreude with Harrison’s toils at Goodison, but the bigger picture is he’s still our player and might end up being this summer when Everton likely wash their hands of him, even with the takeover surely breathing new life into the club.
