Barcelona believe they are close to tying up a deal for Bayer Leverkusen central defender Jonathan Tah, but it will bring consequences for their current squad.
Inigo Martinez and Pau Cubarsi will be back next season, and the Blaugrana intend to extend Ronald Araujo’s contract. With the arrival of Tah, Sporting Director believes that will be sufficient in terms of central defenders.
Jonathan Tah's signing is very advanced. He could sign until 2030. @RogerTorello

They will look to sell Eric Garcia, say Sport, which had been previously reported, but now it seems Andreas Christensen‘s future has also been decided. The Blaugrana believe it will be difficult for him to get back to his best this season, given the competition for places and his lengthy spell out, and have decided to sell him next summer. He will not be offered a new deal either.
Christensen has been linked with a move to Newcastle United, while in Serie A, Juventus and AC Milan have also been credited with interest. With only a year left on his deal next summer, the Danish international will likely be available at a reduced price.
