Amorim has made two changes to his side for Thursday's clash at Molineux.

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has dropped another player from one of his matchday squads – and reports suggest he is not injured.

Since his arrival at the start of November, Amorim has made some bold decisions in regards to squad selection.

Marcus Rashford has missed the last four games [including Wolves] as the Portuguese continues to drop United's academy product, who recently said he was ready for a new challenge.

Alejandro Garnacho also missed out on the Manchester derby, which sparked plenty of debate around his application in training and beyond.

Speaking about his decision to drop both Garnacho and Rashford for the City game, a defiant Amorim emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards at "one of the biggest clubs in the world".

And now, it appears another United player has been dropped for a Premier League game.

As per widespread reports, Tyrell Malacia's absence for the clash against Wolves on Thursday evening is not down to injury.

The 25-year-old full-back, who signed for United from Feyenoord in 2022 for around £15 million, missed over a year of action after undergoing surgery on a knee injury last summer.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to Amorim's latest decision.

One said: Malacia not in the matchday squad today, and it's NOT due to injury. Twice subbed off at half-time, and dropped today despite being the only available natural LB. You just know he's not cutting it under Ruben Amorim."

A second wrote: "He has not looked good in that lwb ever since returning. So it was expected," and a third commented: "I think he need to send on loan to get his fitness and form back."

A fourth said: "To be fair, he’s been very poor since coming back. Really like that Amorim isn’t afraid to drop underperforming players," while a fifth added: "Love how ruthless Ruben is finally a proper manager."
