Manchester United have several talented youngsters on loan right now including Dan Gore at Rotherham.
In January, Manchester United had several players who needed a loan for their development and the club obliged.
Numerous youngsters headed on loan with Dan Gore’s move to Rotherham the highest profile – outside of the first-team loans like Marcus Rashford joining Aston Villa.
Gore was joined by Ethan Ennis who moved to Doncaster Rovers, becoming an immediate starter in the process. Ethan Wheatley was another to move, with Walsall his destination – although despite getting into the first-team immediately the 18-year-old has been out of the squad lately.
The same can be said for Gore who has now missed Rotherham’s past two outings despite an impressive debut.

Dan Gore injured for Rotherham
When Dan Gore debuted for Rotherham on the first weekend of February – his performance signalled it could be a good loan for the 20-year-old.
This kind of performance was to be expected, as Gore had proven himself too good for academy football, and the debut made this clear.
Gore provided a brilliant assist for Rotherham, which had fans of the League One club believing he could be their saviour in what has been a disappointing season that sees them in 14th.
MORE UNITED STORIES
However, last weekend he was absent, with Steve Evans casting doubt over Gore’s absence – claiming the midfielder had been fine but woke up with a strange foot injury.
“He worked for two days in the team and went home from training on Friday feeling good. I got a call from the medical staff to say that he’d woken up with his foot really sore.
“It’s unbelievable. We didn’t do enough in training for him to have a sore nose let alone a sore foot. Until I hear more from the medical staff as to how it’s happened and why it’s happened then it’s … maybe God will tell me when I go to sleep tonight.”
Now – it seems the Rotherham boss will be left with egg on his face as Paul Davis with the Rotherham Advertiser has confirmed the injury is real.
Gore faces weeks on the sidelines as he recovers from a foot injury. The recovery will take Gore to see a specialist – which signifies there is concern.
Gore running out of time for Manchester United
For those who remember, last January Gore also went on loan with a move to Port Vale – where he managed to play just one game before being injured for the remainder of the season with a foot injury.
Given his age – 20 – this loan to Rotherham was pivotal for Gore in his development and chances of making it at United.
Gore’s contract expires in 2026 – which means this summer the club will likely make a decision and right now that decision would likely be to sell the U21s captain.
He’s running out of time with talented midfielders behind him in the ranks at United now knocking on the doors, with Sekou Kone one to be very impressive.
Gore needs to get himself fit and get a consistent run of games to prove himself to the new ruthless decision-makers at Carrington – otherwise, this could prove a fatal blow in his United dreams.
