'I can guarantee': How Chelsea are feeling about having to buy Jadon Sancho from Man United now - Romano

Chelsea have been making their feelings very clear about Jadon Sancho’s recent form and having to buy him from Manchester United in the summer.

Sancho was poor against Brighton as Chelsea were knocked out of the FA Cup after the Seagulls came from behind to win 2-1 on the South Coast.

The Blues have been in pretty poor form recently having won just three times in their last ten matches in all competitions.

Chelsea have an obligation to buy Sancho in the summer for around £25 million from Manchester United and the West London club have made their stance clear.

Chelsea remain happy with having to buy Jadon Sancho

Chelsea remain happy with having to buy Jadon Sancho from Manchester United in the summer for around £25m, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old started the season at Stamford Bridge very well and his return to London looked to have rejuvenated his career in England.

However, over recent weeks, there has been a dip in the performances of the England international and his displays have drawn a fair amount of criticism.

Fabrizio Romano said on YouTube: “Jadon Sancho, we have seen some criticism in recent weeks, he’s not performing like he was at the beginning of the season.”

But regardless of his poor form as of late, the West London club see Sancho as a good investment and remain pleased with their obligation to buy him.

“But I can guarantee to you Chelsea are still very happy with the signing of Jadon Sancho, the obligation to buy is not in doubt, it’s just the amount of add-ons that is going to change based on the position of Chelsea in the Premier League,” added Romano.

“Chelsea remain very satisfied with the signing of Sancho and whilst this is not the best moment for the player, in general, to invest in a player like Sancho, Chelsea internally see it as a good idea.”
