Simon Jordan lambasts Jadon Sancho for immature Manchester United dig, only has himself to blame for career downfall

Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan has decided to go on an honest rant after Jadon Sancho’s latest dig at Manchester United.

Ruben Amorim faces the tricky task of rebuilding the Manchester United squad.

The Portuguese coach needs to ensure that Ineos sign the right players, but he too must identify which players are right for the dressing room and who is proving to be a hindrance.

It was clear that Marcus Rashford was not part of Amorim’s plans, which eventually led to a six-month loan move to Aston Villa.

Rashford came on late in Villa’s 2-1 FA Cup win over Tottenham on Sunday to make his debut.

The 27-year-old took to Instagram after the game by posting images from the victory, along with the following caption: “Thank you for the warm welcome. Great team performance.”

It was a harmless post, but Jadon Sancho’s response became a topic of conversation.

Sancho, who is currently on loan at Chelsea, wrote ‘Freedom’ alongside a blessing hands and raising hand emojis.

It was telling that Rashford chose not to respond to the comment.

Furthermore, reports suggest Rashford didn’t appreciate Sancho’s comment.

Simon Jordan slams Jadon Sancho for blaming others

Jadon Sancho’s cheeky comment comes with a hint of irony because he has struggled following a bright start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Underwhelming performances have led to frustration among Chelsea supporters, with just eight goal contributions this season.

Jadon Sancho stats this season

Simon Jordan is one pundit who was left less than impressed by Sancho’s remarks.

When asked what he thought of Sancho’s expression of opinion, Jordan told talkSPORT: “Not very much to be honest with you.

“I think what Jadon Sancho has to say is not particularly relevant to Marcus Rashford’s situation. I don’t think he’s covered himself in glory.”

Since joining Chelsea, Sancho has only proved that Erik ten Hag was right to freeze him out of the squad before moving him on to Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea on loan.

United fans will feel Sancho is Chelsea’s problem now because they are obligated to buy him in the summer.

Sancho’s disappointing career trajectory

From being a star at Borussia Dortmund to flopping in the Premier League, Sancho’s return to England has been nothing short of miserable.

Sancho did enjoy his temporary return to Dortmund last season, but the Bundesliga side was unwilling to make the deal permanent after reaching the Champions League final.

Jordan went on to slam Sancho as he looked at his recent career trajectory.

“He’s had a few decent games for Chelsea but other than that, a few decent games for Dortmund,” Jordan added.

“But his career has gone backwards, he’s responsible for it not anyone else and this is the sort of atypical response from people that always like to align other people with the blame or their current failings.

“I think it’s a sad indication of where United have gotten to to think that people can speak about the club in this way.

“I think the underlying message is that you’re out of the awful place that Man United has become.

“A place that has been created by the culture of players there and I would suggest that players like Jadon Sancho who only like it when they’re told all the good things.

“They can’t really deal with any home truths or they can’t have any consequences for their actions because if they do, they don’t like it.”
