Man Utd Enter Race With Arsenal As They Make "Enquiries" For Young Iniesta And Next Batistuta

**Manchester United have made “enquiries” for two young Olympiakos players, according to various reports in the Greek media.**

The Red Devils are believed to have joined the [likes of Arsenal](https://goonernews.com/blog/arsenal-transfer-news-charalampos-kostoulas-christos-mouzakitis/), Aston Villa and Brentford in registering their interest in Christos Mouzakitis and Babis Kostoulas.

Mouzakitis, who has been described as a ‘young Iniesta’ by some observers, is only 18 years of age but he has already been capped by Greece, making his first appearance against Finland back in November.

At club level, he has played 25 times for Olympiakos this season, making 20 starts in total, scoring his first two goals at for the senior side earlier this month.

After bagging the winner in a league game against APO Levadiakos, he scored a vital goal in the Greek Cup versus fierce rivals Panathinaikos, finding the net in the second leg to secure a 2-1 aggregate victory.

Kostoulas is also making a name for himself

Mouzakitis’s teammate has been in the headlines too after making his breakthrough into Olympiakos’s first team this campaign.

Kostoulas has been nicknamed “Babistuta”, with many comparing him to the Argentinian legend for his speed and poacher’s instinct in front of goal.

The 17-year-old scored his first senior goal against PAOK Salonika back in November and he has gone on to find the back of net four more times in the Greek Super League. He can be deployed as either a No.9 or as a support striker.

United are looking to inject youth into the senior squad

If the arrival of Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in January is anything to go by, the Manchester club’s recruitment in future transfer windows will focus on bringing in younger players.

It is up for debate whether Mouzakitis and Kostoulas are ready to make the step up to the Premier League but they’re clearly talents with some promise that the Red Devils are keen on signing.
