Exclusive: Manchester United could offer two players to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli

TBR Football understands that Napoli want to finalise the sale of Victor Osimhen this summer and are open to exchanging players for the striker.

Three major Premier League clubs are keen on Osimhen who saw a move to Chelsea fail to materialise last summer and he instead joined Turkish giants Galatasaray on deadline day.

The Nigerian international has impressed hugely during his loan spell in Istanbul with 17 goals in 20 starts – underpinning his status as one of Europe’s top strikers.

Osimhen signed a new contract with Napoli in December 2023 with a release clause of around £100 million but that will be around £65 million come this summer.

Napoli open to exchange deals for Victor Osimhen

However, Napoli are also open to exchange deals for Victor Osimhen, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

Galatasaray don’t have the option to sign Osimhen but the Turkish Super Lig club are keen to keep him – which remains a possibility – but a move to England is the most likely option, at this stage.

Given that Osimhen’s price tag has dropped, whilst his form has not, TBR Football has been informed that there remains strong interest in the 26-year-old.

Chelsea are long-term admirers of Osimhen, witnessed by their attempts to sign him last summer, and he remains a player of major interest as they seek to add at least one new striker to their squad this summer.

There are also a number of potential players within Chelsea’s squad that they could also offer up to Napoli as part of a deal.

Man United could offer Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund for Victor Osimhen

Likewise, Manchester United have been keeping tabs on Osimhen’s progress in Turkey and it’s understood he does appeal to the club.

There is also the possibility of a player exchange as Napoli appreciate several players at Old Trafford including Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.

Napoli attempted to sign Garnacho in January, however, they could not find an agreement with the Red Devils over a fee.

Arsenal keen on Victor Osimhen after Kai Havertz injury

TBR Football can also reveal that Arsenal, Aston Villa and Newcastle are all monitoring Osimhen’s situation in Naples.

Arsenal have just lost Kai Havertz to a hamstring injury for the rest of the season – further highlighting their need to add a striker in the summer.
