Erik ten Hag has not worked since being sacked by Manchester United in October.
The Dutchman left Ajax to join Manchester United back in May 2022. Erik ten Hag left Amsterdam having won three Eredivisie titles as well as two KNVB Cups.
On top of that, Ten Hag almost led the Dutch club to the 2019 Champions League final when they shocked Real Madrid by beating them 4-1 on their way to the las four. That’s when they were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur.
At Old Trafford, Ten Hag won two trophies before getting sacked during his third season in charge. He ended United’s six-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup against Newcastle before stunning Man City in the FA Cup final a year later.
Ten Hag is still respected in the game as one of the top Dutch coaches available. That is why we are not surprised to see him linked with a return to the dugout.

Feyenoord eye Erik ten Hag as manager
Ajax’s Eredivisie rivals Feyenoord have reportedly linked Ten Hag up as a potential target as they look to fill their managerial vacancy.
That has been reported by Dutch outlet AD, although it is currently unclear if Ten Hag would even entertain the approach, given his previous stint at Ajax.
Feyenoord are currently 5th in the Eredivisie after sacking Brian Priske, who succeeded Arne Slot after the Dutchman joined Liverpool in the summer.
MORE UNITED STORIES
With Ten Hag’s experience in Eredivisie, Feyenoord would be landing a proven winner and he might be keen on challenging his former club for the biggest honour in the Netherlands.
Ten Hag overlooked by Borussia Dortmund
The former United manager had been linked with the Borussia Dortmund job after the Bundesliga side sacked Nuri Sahin.
Despite having enough experience for the job, Ten Hag was overlooked as Dortmund opted to appoint Niko Kovac on an 18-month deal.
Kovac replaced Sahin despite the fact Dortmund reached the Champions League final last season. He started United loanee Jadon Sancho in the final defeat to Real Madrid.
Feyenoord said in a statement that a lack of consistency was among the main reasons for sacking Priske on Monday.
It remains to be seen if they will turn to Ten Hag and whether he is interested in a job at Feyenoord.
