Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is expected to make two changes for the clash with Tottenham on Sunday.

Spurs host the Red Devils at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 16 February with both sides needing victory due to underwhelming Premier League campaigns.

The Old Trafford outfit sit 13th, just one place above Ange Postecoglou‘s side in the table so it is a must-win for both managers.

Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, and Jonny Evans are ruled out for the contest.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Ruben Amorim might stick with the same three players in the backline that defeated the Foxes in injury time to progress to the fifth-round.

Leny Yoro is predicted to continue at centre-back after winning 67 per cent of his six aerial duels against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side.

He is expected to be partnered by Harry Maguire at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, who notched a 93rd-minute winner and made four clearances in the victory.

Noussair Mazraoui might complete the three-at-the-back system after he recorded the most passes against the Foxes with 86 and made seven recoveries in the contest.

Patrick Dorgu is expected to be handed another start at right-wing back, he completed 82 per cent of his passes and made two interceptions and two recoveries in a 45-minute cameo.

At left-wing back, Diogo Dalot is predicted to continue in a makeshift role after creating two chances and making three passes into the final third against Leicester.

Amorim is expected to utilise a midfield pivot of Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte, the former notched an assist and created three chances in the win over the relegation-threatened side.

The predicted danger man for the Red Devils is Amad Diallo, the Ivorian recorded a 90 per cent pass accuracy, completed the most dribbles with four and had eight touches in the opposition box as he consistently threatened.

Manchester United to recall Tottenham-linked attacker

Joshua Zirkzee is expected be recalled to the starting line-up for the clash with Postecoglou’s side after he scored the equaliser against Leicester and also contributed defensively winning four out of five tackles for an 80 per cent success rate.

Kobbie Mainoo featured in an advanced role but might miss out on a starting berth against the Lilywhites after he recorded a 40 per cent ground duel success rate against the Foxes.

To complete Amorim’s attack, Alejandro Garnacho, a player who was linked with Spurs in the winter transfer window is predicted to replace Rasmus Hojlund.

Argentina forward Garnacho recorded four shots, had eight touches in the opposition penalty area and created one chance in a 45-minute cameo last time out.

If Postecoglou is to reduce the pressure surrounding his future in the dugout, his side needs to come away from this contest with a victory.

To have any chance of doing that, they need to be solid defensively and contain the Red Devils’ attacking prowess on Sunday.
