Napoli are ready to open their doors to a big exchange deal involving Victor Osimhen for two big Manchester United stars in the summer.
According to a report by Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Napoli are reportedly open to sending Victor Osimhen to Manchester United in an exchange deal involving two players from the English club. Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund are mentioned in the report as the possible stars to go the other way, as the Red Devils are intent on doing smart business in the summer.
Manchester United will lean towards ways that can help them conduct smart business in the transfer market rather than use the conventional way of spending big on recruits. The Red Devils are not in a prime financial condition to make themselves big in the market and will rather look for ways to protect their pockets.
Given that new manager Ruben Amorim has plenty of requirements coming the summer, there are doubts about whether Manchester United has the funds to bring a multitude of players in one window. They are chasing big names like Alejandro Balde from Barcelona, while Victor Osimhen is also on Amorim’s wishlist.
Manchester United view Victor Osimhen as one of their top striker targets ahead of the summer. The idea of bringing another centre-forward stems from the lack of goals from either Joshua Zirkzee or Rasmus Hojlund despite the club investing hefty fees in both.
As for the latter, h has sufficient interest coming from Serie A, where he was rising with Atalanta before making the switch to Old Trafford. Napoli are now interested in proposing an exchange deal with Manchester United, and they reportedly want Hojlund and Alejandro Garnacho as part of the equation.
Napoli wants two Manchester United players for Osimhen
Hojlund is not the only star Napoli desire, as they are still intent on Garnacho. Napoli were willing to give Manchester United a discount on Victor Osimhen in January if they allowed the Argentine to join them, although a move never materialised.
Manchester United are reportedly open to selling Garnacho for around £70 million, and given that Osimhen’s release clause stands at £65 million as per the report, it is difficult to see an exchange deal of that sort materialise. There is a strong possibility that one of Garnacho or Hojlund will go the other way in an exchange proposal, and it might be the latter than the Argentine winger.
