Roy Keane has candidly opened up on one key moment during his legendary Manchester United playing spell under Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
The 53-year-old former Manchester United and Nottingham Forest star is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders and captains of all time.
Sir Alex Ferguson brought United legend Roy Keane to Old Trafford in 1993 from Nottingham Forest for a £3.75m transfer fee at the time.
Keane became a linchpin midfield figure under former United manager Ferguson and was a commanding box-to-box midfielder during his prime playing career.
The former United midfielder excelled as a leader and Keane famously captained United to their iconic continental treble win in the 1998-99 season.
Keane was well-known for his tough-as-nails reputation and his no-nonsense attitude on and off the pitch, which helped him shine as United captain.
The Irish hardman played 479 matches for United and he scored 51 times and registered 41 assists for the Premier League club.

Keane’s feelings on Man Utd
Sky Sports pundit Keane has previously revealed that he is not a United fan, despite his illustrious playing spell at Old Trafford.
The former Republic of Ireland international has admitted that his allegiance is with two other clubs and his weekend is not spoiled if United don’t win.
“I have more of an insight with how it works at the club [United] and the expectations, but I wouldn’t say that I’m a fan – their results don’t make or break my weekend,” he said.
“I wouldn’t go home going, ‘Get in there, that was a great win.’ I’d be looking at it in a professional way.”
