Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has hinted youngster Chido Obi-Martin could be in contention to face Tottenham on Sunday.

Amorim revealed the Red Devils have injury concerns ahead of the Premier League clash, between two sides currently languishing in the bottom half.

'We had some problems this week,' Amorim said.

'We called some players to be in our training so we have the data and evaluation and he [Chido Obi] is one of them.'

The 17-year-old had starred for Man United in a 5-1 victory over Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup earlier this week.

The Danish youth international, who joined from Arsenal earlier this season, scored a hat-trick to help United reach the quarter-finals.

His hat-trick took his goals in this season's FA Youth Cup to seven and, at a time where United's first team are struggling to score, may have further alerted Ruben Amorim to his talent.

Obi left Arsenal for United last summer. During his time at the Gunners, he scored a record-breaking 32 goals in just 20 appearances for their Under-18 side.

His return last season was the most ever scored by an Arsenal player at that level in a single campaign, beating the previous record held by Folarin Balogun.
