Title-chasing Arsenal return to Premier League action on Saturday afternoon when they face struggling Leicester City at The King Power Stadium.
The Gunners currently sit second in the table, seven points behind runaway leaders Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta will be desperate to see his side get the better of the Foxes, who sit 18th in the standings and have lost four of their last five games.
Arsenal are struggling with injuries at present, with Kai Havertz having been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering an injury while at a training camp in Dubai.
The Gunners didn’t strengthen Arteta’s attacking options during the January transfer window, but it appears that the North London club now have their sights set on a Portuguese starlet.
As per CaughtOffside, both Arsenal and Premier League rivals Manchester United are interested in Porto wonderkid Rodrigo Mora.
Arsenal will be without Havertz for the remainder of the season
The 17-year-old is enjoying an impressive breakthrough season in Porto this term, coring three times and providing the same number of assists in 12 league games.
Mora is a product of Porto’s youth system and is contracted to the club until 2027, but the report claims that both the Gunners and the Red Devils have been monitoring the teenager’s situation and could move for him in the future.
Fellow Premier League side Aston Villa are also said to have shown interest in the young attacking midfielder, while European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also credited with an interest.
At present the midfielder has a £55 million release clause in his current contract with Porto, but the report suggests that figure is set to rise to around £70 million over the new couple of years.
It is claimed that senior figures at Manchester United believe that Mora is set to be a star of the future, and the club could therefore make an attempt to sign him.
