Former Manchester United and England defender Paul Parker has said that Chelsea should find a way to cancel Jadon Sancho’s imminent summer transfer.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United, however, the Blues had an obligation to buy him from Old Trafford for around £25m in the summer.
The winger has made 18 Premier League appearances for the Blues this season under Enzo Maresca, scoring two goals and contributing four assists.
He sent a clear dig to United in a recent comment on a Marcus Rashford Instagram post after the attacker joined Aston Villa from United, by commenting “freedom”.
Former United defender Paul Parker believes that Chelsea will be regretting signing the winger. He told MyBettingSites: “Jadon Sancho reminds me of a weak little boy who is using someone else to air his grievances.
“Sancho is trying to shift focus away from himself, but in reality, he should be looking in the mirror. Sancho has been ridiculed by Chelsea fans. He should be focused on improving his game instead of alienating himself further.
“Chelsea must be regretting the fact that they have to buy him. They’ll probably be begging United to find a way out of the deal. Chelsea will be looking to get rid of him as soon as possible. Finding a club willing to take him will be a challenge.”
Jadon Sancho set to join Chelsea permanently in the summer
Sancho’s transfer fee for the summer is expected to be around the £25 million mark, and considering that he is performing better at Stamford Bridge than at Old Trafford, many Chelsea fans may disagree with Parker.
The winger may have to start up front for Chelsea in upcoming matches due to a recent injury to Nicolas Jackson, who is set to be out for at least six weeks.
It could help re-ignite Sancho’s form as he hasn’t scored since December in a 4-3 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
