Ange Postecoglou is without some key players at Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur are facing being without eight first-team players for Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United. Ruben Amorim's side travel to north London looking to climb up the table.
United are dealing with their own injury problems with three unnamed players facing late fitness checks. However, the problems at Hotspur Way are on another level with Ange Postecoglou forced to work with a shoestring squad.
Spurs are currently 14th in the Premier League table and have suffered 13 defeats in 24 games. After beating Brentford at the start of the month, the Londoners have suffered back-to-back defeats in the EFL Cup and FA Cup at the hands of Liverpool and Aston Villa.
They remain in the Europa League but the focus is on attempting to revive their Premier League season. Pressure is growing on Postecoglou and fears over a potential sacking will increase with another defeat.
Fortunately for United, Tottenham are without a number of their best players. Defensive duo Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are a number of weeks away from returning to action while Richarlison and Dominic Solanke are also out.

The better news for Tottenham is that they are set to welcome a number of players back this weekend. Postecoglou confirmed that goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie and James Maddison are all in contention to return.
"Some of the lads who have been out for quite a while look like they’re in a good place now," Postecoglou said. "Vic [Vicario] is probably the one who has come back ahead of schedule.
"He’s been training really well away from the team for two weeks. In the last 10 days he’s integrated back into the team and is fully into training, so he’s in a good place and that means he becomes available for us.”
Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner have both returned to training this week but it's not yet clear if they will be available for the visit of United. Fellow attacker Wilson Odobert is also back training but won't be rushed.
Radu Dragusin's ACL injury is set to keep him out until December. It means Tottenham could miss at least, eight players for the game with United on Sunday.
