Manchester United return to Premier League action when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The Reds got back to winning ways last time out to knock Leicester City out of the FA Cup, while Tottenham were knocked out of the competition.
Manchester United have a chance to start its climb up the Premier League table if they can come away from North London with three points. Anything less than that will set Ruben Amorim’s side further back on their quest to qualify for European football next season.
Tottenham will feel like they have the advantage going into the game after beating United twice this season.
Ange Postecoglou’s side visited Old Trafford and won 3-0 in September, contributing to United’s poor start to the campaign, which eventually led to Erik ten Hag’s dismissal.
United were overrun, undisciplined and second-best in every department that day. A vast improved is required to get three points against an injury-hit Tottenham this weekend.
Without further ado, here are five things to watch out for when United visit Tottenham.

Manchester United seeking revenge
Spurs are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games against United, so the Reds will be seeking revenge on Sunday.
MORE UNITED STORIES
United have already suffered two defeats to Spurs this season – at home in the Premier League and away for the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
The Reds haven’t lost three times in a single season to Tottenham since 1989-90. On top of that, Tottenham haven’t been able to complete the league double over United since the same season.
Tottenham’s terrible record at home
Tottenham haven’t won any of their last seven home games in the Premier League.
This is their longest run without a home win in the league since going eight without a win from March to October in 2008.
To make matters worse for Ange Postecoglou, Spurs suffered five defeats in these last seven home games. They will be looking to avoid another this weekend.
🚨 Rúben Amorim: “I am a huge fan of Ange Postecoglou. He is a good guy, a very good coach. I understand the connection with me and Ange”.
“With respect, I am at a BIGGER club… with bigger pressure”. 👀 pic.twitter.com/ZRqGIZ1DAj

Manchester United leak goals against Tottenham
United have conceded at least twice in each of their last four Premier League games against Tottenham.
It doesn’t help that the defence recently suffered a season-ending injury to Lisandro Martinez, which will rule the Argentine out of action for the remainder of the season.
Amorim’s defence will need to be at their best to stop Dominic Solanke, who has previously scored five goals against United – for Bournemouth as well as Tottenham.
United’s attack will need to be at its best to turn things around if the defence continues to concede multiple goals against Tottenham.
Bruno Fernandes to bite back after referee error in previous meeting
After being unfairly sent off when the two teams met in the Premier League four months ago, Bruno Fernandes saw his red card overturned.
Fernandes was shown a straight red after catching Spurs’ James Maddison on the lower leg with a high challenge. The Portugal international slipped as he went for the ball, but the referee Chris Kavanagh deemed the challenge as serious foul play.
United were trailing 1-0 at the time before going on to lose 3-0. The red card influenced the game in Tottenham’s favour.
Fernandes has played against Tottenham 10 times since joining United, registering 5 goalscoring contributions.

Hopefully, the Portuguese Magnifico can add to his tally against Spurs on Sunday.
Tottenham’s tendency to drop points from winning positions
No other team in the Premier League have dropped as many points from winning positions as Tottenham (16).
Postecoglou’s team play an open game with the belief you won’t be rewarded without taking risks.
That is why we could see an end-to-end clash take place in North London.
