Amad has confirmed his devastating Manchester United injury blow, which will reportedly leave him out of action for the rest of the season, with a lengthy message to supporters. Ruben Amorim has suffered the worst of a string of setbacks in the build-up to Sunday's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The United boss has also lost Kobbie Mainoo for at least a couple of weeks through injury, while fellow midfielders Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer are, too, major doubts to face Spurs.
But losing Amad until pre-season represents a knife to the heart and darkens any hope and optimism of a successful end to a dismal season at Old Trafford.
Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season," Amad wrote on his social media channels.
"Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for."
